About MHC Politics
Morehead Politics is an online town square where neighbors can think out loud together about news and politics instead of arguing in scattered comment sections. It's a respectful place to test opinions, examine facts, and explore what local decisions really mean for everyday life.
Morehead Politics grew out of a clear gap: there was no focused, local space where people could slow down, ask questions, and work through the stories shaping Carteret County. Instead of treating politics as distant or divisive, it treats it as the shared work of neighbors deciding how they want to live together.
Through its podcast and website, Morehead Politics hosts conversations, shares sources, and invites residents to wrestle honestly with issues that land right on their docks and doorsteps. The aim is not to tell anyone what to think, but to help the community think better together—and to step into politics not as spectators, but as active participants.
